Scholarships for people with disabilities

A scholarship for persons with disabilities may be awarded to a student on account of disability. The basis for granting a scholarship for persons with disabilities to a student is a certificate of mild, moderate or severe disability.

A mild degree of disability means meeting one of the following conditions:

  1. Disability of a slight degree within the meaning of the regulations on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons,
  2. partial inability to work and the advisability of retraining ruled under the provisions on pensions from the Social Insurance Fund,
  3. permanent or long-term inability to work on a farm, certified under the provisions of social insurance for farmers, if this is not considered a significant degree of disability,
  4. Possession of a certificate of disability group III.

A moderate degree of disability means meeting one of the following conditions:

  1. Disability of a moderate degree within the meaning of the regulations on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons,
  2. Total incapacity for work, judged under the regulations on pensions
    and pensions from the Social Insurance Fund,
  3. Possession of a disability group II certificate.

Severe disability means meeting one of the following conditions:

  1. Severe disability within the meaning of the regulations on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons,
  2. total inability to work and live independently, judged under the regulations on pensions from the Social Insurance Fund,
  3. permanent or long-term inability to work on a farm and to lead a self-sustaining life, as determined under the provisions of social insurance for farmers,
  4. Possession of a certificate for inclusion in the 1st group of invalids.

Scholarships for people with disabilities are granted for an academic year, but not longer than the validity period of the disability certificate, or for the period from February to June if starting studies from the summer semester.
